Serbian Center Lazar Nekic (213-C-1999, agency: Allstars Agency) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al Fateh Al Hasa, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Mudhar (#8, 1-4) 92-82. Al Fateh is placed at 5th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. Al Fateh is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Nekic had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Fateh's top player in his first season with the team. Former Loyola Marymount University star has very solid stats this year. Nekic is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.0ppg) and averages impressive 61.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ivorian Willy Kouassi (208-C-1991) of Al Khewaildia. Kouassi had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 22 rebounds. It was enough for Al Khewaildia to edge Al Khaleej (#10, 0-5) 79-74. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Al Khewaildia left the very bottom place moving slightly to 9th position. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Al Khewaildia managed to get this year. Kouassi is a newcomer at Al Khewaildia and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often. Former The University of Arkansas star Kouassi is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Al Fateh's star - Senegalese Mamadou Samb (210-C/F-1989, agency: Allstars Agency). Samb showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 18 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Al Fateh Al Hasa, helping his team with a 92-82 win against the lower-ranked Mudhar (#8, 1-4). The chances of Al Fateh ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Samb could help Al Fateh to bring them higher in the standings. The season just started for Samb as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.

9. Alex Young (198-F-1989) of Al Salam - 30 points and 12 rebounds
10. Moayad Alsharif (204-F/C-2000) of Al Ahli - 17 points and 11 rebounds
